ABOUT ME

BEFORE USER EXPERIENCE DESIGN (UxD)

I developed an aptitude for math and science early on and got interested in computer programming at 10. I was hooked. In high school, I developed an interest in art and was able to work in various mediums including sketching and pen and ink, establishing my passion for both technical and creative pursuits. In college, I committed to computer science, translating into a career in desktop support, systems and network administration, and eventually, opportunities to do web design.

Sometimes, our past interests just become hobbies or fade away. However, the web design work reinvigorated the artistic interests I'd been longing to explore again, taking me on a road through graphic design and right into User Experience Design at Austin Community College.

NOW

I became certified on the IDEO's Course for Human-Centered Design in the Fall of 2016, As of May 2017, I hold an AAS in Visual Communication - User Experience Design from Austin Community College. I'm now pursuing opportunities to put what I've learned into practice on a daily basis. Though I have an interest in all aspects of user experience design, I have a particular interest in research and interaction design.
